A “glitch” in Teton County's voting machines caused errors in unofficial results of the Jackson Town Council’s primary race released by election officials Tuesday night, they said Wednesday morning.

See, what did I tell you, Gil?

By ignoring voter count glitches as genuine news in their initial town council vote coverage, Reed & Co. left their asses uncovered when the actual count came right with PLENTY of time to correct the page one story. I mean, courtesy of CowboyTimes and the planet, I knew the whys and whats of the actual count long before 1:00AM. How come N&G didn't know? They didn't care, they didn'call, they MISSED THE STORY.

The only thing more pitiful than the scrambling for cover in Thursday's Daily is Sherry Daigle's notion that she had anything apologize for. Reporters are supposed to go out and get the story (aren't they?), not sit around and wait for the bureaucrats to feed them.

By the way, did I offend you Tuesday night? Do I sense you're taking N&G's side in all this? Otherwise, why would you pull the comments attached to the vote-count thread? Just asking...

Peace.
